We Cashmerettes are getting advanced in years, and as such, we march to the beat of our own drum.
So when my 33rd birthday rolled around, did I go for drinks at a trendy bar? Dinner at the latest restaurant? Nope, I got my best friends together and we had a potholder-sewing party. Rock on!
A fabulous time was had by all, and a new sewing star was born: no less than Cashmerette sibling Mark turned out to be a stealth sewing genius! Who knew!
Anthony put his heart and soul into the project, and also displayed his amazing ability at Rushmore Photo Face ™:
Courtney paid close attention to her blue beauty:
And here was my birthday sweatshop…. they were paid nothing and worked to the bone:
Gerry was a late arrival but quickly put together his minimalist interpretation of a potholder:
While Lauren and Anna pressed their holders to perfection:
And finally! Lauren and Courtney demonstrated the dual use of their potholders as silent castanets:
While I ate cakes
And here’s the whole crew with their creations! So much fun. Thank you lovely friends for everything.
And a final thank you to the ever-lovely and crafty Virginia and Naomi for helping us out, not to mention helping us finish the champagne. Cheers!
This is so great! Glad you had fun, and happy birthday!! 🙂
