A tank-top that actually does what I need it to!

I have made two Saybrook tanks already. I spend a lot of time outdoors and canoe tripping which means that I’m always bending down and picking up. I wanted a tank top that gave me space to move but also kept all my bits covered and the saybrook delivered! Thank you Jenny and the Cashmerette team for this awesome pattern!

Saybrook tank

This is a nice tank pattern. My one quibble is the armhole at the underarms. I'm 5'7 and find the underarms waaay too high. They could easily be lowered an inch and still cover my bra band

Saybrook Tank

What an awesome pattern! Goes together quickly and so versatile! I have made one with a cotton spandex and I love it. I did a quick FBA and was good to go. The fit is a curve hugging so if you prefer a looser fit you will need to size up.

Constant complements!

I have a very physical job (lots of bending, stretching, lifting). In the summer tank tops are a must to keep cool, but I could never find any that fit right. I made several Saybrook tanks, customizing them with the higher neck in front (so I can bend over without showing everything!) and the lower neckline in back, lowered the bust curve, and I added about 3" to the length. they fit perfectly, sew up so quickly and easily! And an unexpected bonus-- all my coworkers keep telling me how great they look!

Great tank pattern!!

I’ve always struggled to find tank tops that fit and don’t cling in all the wrong places. Enter the Saybrook! A fast sew with a super easy and elegant binding, and it fits! My first one was wearable right off the table (go with the pattern measurements to pick a size, not your bra/dress size). The only adjustment I made to future tanks was to extend the strap very slightly as I found the edge of my strap was visible sometimes (I have sloped shoulders). I hacked it into a dress (using the cashmerette Pembroke pattern) and I’ve been wearing them nonstop all summer.

Matching twin sets!

I'm using the Saybrook Tank with the Fuller Cardigan to make matching Twin Sets! Fun stuff!
