I cannot state how much I LOVE these pants! I made pjs from these and the cedar dolman out of a gorgeous drapey viscose. They are amazing. Then I made drapey long viscose floral pants and they feel glorious to wear. Followed immediately by linen blend shorts and long pants. I'm almost set for summer. The fit was fantastic from the start, but I lowered the rise by 2 inches after the pj shorts as I have a short torso. I have lived in turner dresses and leggings for over a year as I didnt have/couldn't find pants I wanted to wear. Now I am imagining my next floaty summer pair and some lovely lined drapey wool pants for the winter. As always the pattern is excellently drafted and straightforward to follow. The more complex pockets are worth the effort. I highly recommend.

This is my first downloaded pattern, and my first sewn clothing piece. All the instructions, from how to download and assemble pattern, to the actual sewing of the Calder pants were so clear. I got a fabric that was inexpensive, as I was nervous. No need! They were so flattering and easy. I’ll be ordering some nice linen and sewing another pair of Calder pants.
Love them!! Super flattering and comfortable and easy to sew! Will be making many more in the future
I made the crop length version from a mid-weight linen in two different colors. The fit in a size 20 was perfect after I made my usual adjustment for my height (I’m 6’ tall). These are the most comfortable pants I’ve had in a long time, and it’s so nice to wear something besides yoga pants! The instructions were spot on for an easy sew. I will be making more in the longer version soon.
