Though I've been sewing since I was a kid, I had all but given up on garment making for myself. Nothing ever fit. It always looked painfully homemade and I always felt horrible in it.
Then I came across the Montrose and it changed my whole outlook on me-made garments. With minimal alterations- IT FIT! On the first try! It came together quickly, with zero issues. The full bicep option was a game-changer. And here's the best part- I feel so cute in my new top! I LOVE everything about it! I will be making many, many more.
Lovely top made two to date wearing one now as I write, the first one I made in Cotton suggested size a little big and the dart is to high, but defiantly wearable that is the one I am wearing now, second one I made in Cotton Lawn and that is lovely I made a size smaller and lowered the dart ( thank you Jenny for the Craftsy Tutorial) . Just a lover top have the fabric for 3 more ready to go.
Followed instructions and ended with a beautiful end product. Will make a few more for the fall!
I've made 4 Montrose Tops in the last few weeks and all have fitted very well and so are comfortable. It has been such a relief to have a pattern that I can trust. I will be back for more Cashmerette patterns.
Thank you Cashmerette for starting your plus size pattern company! It was a joy to sew up the montrose top and need very few alterations, just moved the shoulders in and increased back collar. I added a ruffle to the sleeve hem for some extraness and want a bell sleeve in leopard print. Ive had loads of compliments on my montrose and im excited to make more. The appleton is next on my to sew list. Great job Jenny
