Frustrated with fitting?
There's a better way.

Start with the Wyman Sloper pattern

Master your custom fit with 1:1 help

Learn how to use your sloper

A fitting sloper is a basic, closely fitting pattern that you refine until it fits your body really well. Think of it as your personal blueprint. Fit it once, then use it to alter new patterns, or even create new designs that you know will fit you. Learn more about slopers

In Cashmerette Sloper School, curvy fitting expert Jenny Rushmore teaches you how to make your sloper and how to use it, in an online course you can take at your own pace.

Fit once, sew confidently forever!

You will love Sloper School if...

  • You're tired of spending tons of time fitting new patterns when you could be designing or sewing
  • You need to go beyond the "standard" adjustments covered in most books and tutorials
  • You've found it hard to learn to fit alone, and want personal feedback from Jenny and her team
  • You've tried "draft it yourself" slopers and found they don't work well for curvy or busty bodies
  • You like the idea of a custom-fit sloper, but don't know how to use one with other patterns

How does Sloper School work?

Start with a sloper pattern

You’ll receive a free pattern when you enroll: the Wyman Dress Sloper, a fitting sloper PDF pattern in sizes 0-32 and cup sizes C-H that I’ve designed specifically to be used as as the starting point for your custom-fit sloper.

You don’t need to learn how to pattern draft from scratch!

Create a custom fit

Get instant access to detailed video lessons, where I show you how to fit every part of the sloper to your body, from shoulder to hem.

I share advanced fitting techniques (beyond the standard adjustments), demonstrating on real models (not mannequins!) so that you can see how it actually looks in practice.

Learn to use your sloper

Once your sloper fits you well, I take you through exactly how to use your sloper to save you time in the future, and unleash your creativity.

I cover both how to use your sloper to assess a new pattern, and how to hack your sloper to create infinite designs that you can guarantee will fit.

Get personal feedback

Throughout the course, you can get personal fit feedback from me and the Cashmerette team, so you don’t need to go it alone!

Chart your progress

A series of Sloper School-exclusive workbooks will guide you through the process, letting you track your fitting journey and capture everything you’ve learned. The downloadable, printable workbooks cover the initial measuring and sizing steps to get you in a fantastic first muslin, and then comprehensive fitting checklists for each body area, and finally detailed instructions on how to use your sloper.

Take the guesswork out of fitting for curves

Wondering what Sloper School is really like, and whether it's right for you? Here's an excerpt from Sloper School in which Jenny shows how she adjusts the bust of Dawn's sloper.

What our students are saying

★★★★★

"As a trained dressmaker I could sew anything but fitting was all guesswork and not always successful. With the help of Sloper School I made the Wyman Dress Sloper which I use to guarantee a perfect fit every time by using my own fitting information and Jenny's clear instructions to adjust patterns and also create my own patterns. My clothes now fit my unique body at last."

– Heather

★★★★★

"I haven’t owned an article of clothing that buttons down the front for decades; now I have a lovely summer dress with 14 tiny adorable buttons!! It’s a result of taking Sloper School, and being confident that I could make it fit! The biggest surprise for me was that I needed a narrower shoulder, even with my big boobs."

– Romany

★★★★★

"As a mostly self-taught sewist with proportions outside the "norm" (E cup bust, long torso/short legs, and a bit of a belly), I have long struggled with sewing things that fit me properly. After going through Sloper School, I found I finally understood where my measurements were different, and how to change them. Jenny's instructions were clear, concise, and easy to follow. My me-mades have never fit better!"

– BJ

★★★★★

"I have a very large chest, short torso, and full booty. I hated how awkward anything woven fit me, so I just stuck to very loose fitting clothes or knitwear. I took the Wyman sloper course and FINALLY learned useful methods for my exact fit issues. The course is so clear about diagnosing and adjusting that I wasn't intimidated. I love that they show real examples on people instead of just talking about what to look for. This class is seriously invaluable for the voluptuous baddies out there."

– Marie

Questions? We have answers

What is a fitting sloper?

A fitting sloper is a basic, closely fitted pattern that you refine until it fits your body really well—and then you can use it to adjust other sewing patterns to fit you without endless rounds of muslins, or you can use it to create infinite different looks through hacking techniques.

Can I sign up for Sloper School at any time?

Sloper School opens for enrollment during limited timeframes during the year. Once you join, you can take the course at your own pace, and you have lifetime access to all the materials.

Are the classes live?

In Sloper School, you’ll learn through a mixture of recorded video lessons, written tutorials, and personal feedback from the Cashmerette team. You can access the curriculum any time, do it at your own pace, and skip directly to the parts that are relevant for you, so no matter your schedule, you can participate.

I don't know much about fitting. Is Sloper School right for me?

This is a great course for all sewists looking to improve their fitting, who already know how to sew garments - you’ll need to know how to sew a woven dress with a zipper and set in a sleeve.

I don't have anyone who can help me fit. Can I still do this course?

Yes! Sloper School is designed for sewists who are working solo from home. But with the Cashmerette team here to help, you'll never feel alone in your fitting journey!

How is Sloper School different from Fitting University?

Sloper School is a totally different approach to fitting. In Sloper School, I focus on one fitted, woven dress and work through all the relevant fitting issues, before then teaching you how to use your sloper to adjust new patterns quickly and easily, and hack it into other designs. It’s an intensive, deep-dive into a specific fitting approach. Sloper School includes lots of demos on models with different body shapes, and unique workbooks that you’ll progress through.

Fitting University is a online fitting course that covers all types of garments, which you can dip into any time that you need. Unlike Sloper School which you work through from beginning to end, Fitting University is more like a fitting reference library that you can refer to as you’re sewing any garment.

The great news is that if you join Cashmerette Club as an All Access member you’ll have FREE access to both Fitting University and Sloper School!

Do I need to be in Cashmerette Club to enroll in Sloper School?

This course is open to everyone! You can enroll in Sloper School with a one-time payment.

But if you're a Club member, it's even better! Cashmerette Club All Access members can enroll for FREE, and get lifetime access even if their membership expires.

All Access is a yearly auto-renewing membership, but you can cancel any time .

I live outside the United States. Can I participate in Sloper School?

Yes, the course is entirely online and open to anyone around the world!

How is Sloper School 2026 different from previous years?

We’ve worked hard for over a year improving and revising Sloper School based on student feedback! The biggest changes for 2026 are:

  • It’s now self-paced. Instead of having to be available on certain dates, you can now go through the course whenever you want. Linked to this change, we will no longer have Live Fit Clinics as the vast majority of our students weren’t able to attend them.
  • Get all the lessons, instantly. Previous Sloper Schools rolled out lessons on a week by week basis, which meant some students had to wait until a relevant topic was covered. Now, all the videos and lessons are available instantly so you can go straight to what you need.
  • The process to create your first muslin is totally revamped. We’ve created a brand new approach using a clear flow-chart method which takes you step by step through exactly what you need to do to create a well-fitting first muslin.
  • The feedback process has improved. You can now get 1:1 feedback from the Cashmerette team in a clearer, streamlined, and totally private way.

What are the requirements to participate?

To participate in Sloper School, you need to be able to sew a woven dress with a zipper and set-in sleeves, and be able to take digital photos and upload them to the feedback form (any smartphone can do this!). In addition, you’ll need:

  • An internet connection that can stream video
  • A computer, tablet or phone to watch the videos and submit questions for feedback (note, we strongly recommend downloading your pattern to a computer, not a mobile device)
  • The free Adobe Acrobat program (downloadable here for PC or Mac)
  • Access to a home printer, printing service or projector
  • The sewing equipment to sew a woven dress

Meet the Wyman Dress Sloper

Rachel is wearing a muslin dress and posing in a sewing studio. To the left are outlines of the Wyman Dress pattern

What is the Wyman Dress?

The Wyman is a fitting sloper PDF sewing pattern in sizes 0-32 and cup sizes C-H.

It has actual pattern pieces that you can print at home or at a copy shop, or use with a projector—this is not a draft-your-own-sloper guide!

And it comes with a detailed instruction booklet and a free video sewalong.

What makes it special?

The Wyman includes sloper-specific features, including balance lines to help you assess the fit of your muslin more easily, and a wide seam allowance for more convenient fitting alterations.

The bodice

The Wyman features a fitted bodice with bust darts, and front and back waist darts.

The skirt

The Wyman features a fitted knee-length skirt with front and back waist darts.

The sleeves

The Wyman includes two long sleeve options: a one-piece sleeve with an elbow dart and a two-piece sleeve.
