Sloper School is a totally different approach to fitting. In Sloper School, Jenny focuses on one fitted, woven dress and work through all the relevant fitting issues, before then teaching you how to use your sloper to adjust new patterns quickly and easily, and hack it into other designs. It’s an intensive, deep-dive into a specific fitting approach. Sloper School includes lots of demos on models with different body shapes, and unique workbooks that you’ll progress through.

Fitting University is a online fitting course that covers all types of garments, which you can dip into any time that you need. Unlike Sloper School which you work through from beginning to end, Fitting University is more like a fitting reference library that you can refer to as you’re sewing any garment.

As a sewist with a belly I struggled with fitting until I took sloper school. It changed my sewing forever and prepared me to understand Susan Khaljes masterclass on the Elmwood skirt. Now the clothes I make fit and flatter with professional finish!

Clothes that are me (at long last!!)

As a curvy woman, I've found it impossible to find styles of clothes I liked in the size I need. Completing the Wyman Sloper has taught me to understand my body shape and reflect the extra length of my torso. It's boosted my self confidence and helping me find my true style.

Fitting Assumptions Debunked and Confirmed

At 5 feet 1 inch and a short waist, I routinely shortend the waist to hip line of any skirt or pants pattern according to my measurements. I made the sloper and discovered that is not correct, I actually need to add a bit of length. I haven't figured out how that all works out yet but I got a great fit from the sloper! I also confirmed that my upper body (shoulders and neck) are a great fit from a size 10, no changes needed.

A great fit every time

As a trained dressmaker I could sew anything but fitting was all guesswork and not always successful. I have narrow shoulders and upper bust, large boobs, wide back, short arms and short legs, plus I am pear shaped. With the help of Sloper School and the Fitting University I made the Wyman Dress Sloper which I use to guarantee a perfect fit every time by using my own fitting information and Jenny's clear instructions to adjust patterns and also create my own patterns. My clothes now fit my unique body at last.

Breakthrough in sewing, so I don't break through my clothes!

As a mostly self-taught sewist with proportions outside the "norm" (E cup bust, long torso/short legs, and a bit of a belly, to name just of few of my quirks), I have long struggled with sewing things that fit me properly. Using ready-made patterns was almost as bad as buying a garment from a store. I didn't know what was wrong or how to fix it. After going through the sloper school, I found I finally understood where my measurements were different, and how to change them, whether on store-bought or self-drafted patterns. Jenny's instructions were clear, concise, and easy to follow along with. My me-mades have never fit better!

Details matter & club access nails it!

The best combination to learn how to sew well fitted clothes is to combine Cashmerette's Club Access with their incredibly well-designed curvy patterns. I struggled with getting a basic well-fitted top before I took the Wyman Sloper School (free for Club members). The learning is carefully spoon-fed to you through the online videos, the community forum, and the actual sewing. The best part is being taught how to evaluate your changes in your muslins. The well-thought out steps even got me to have sleeves that aren't covered in draglines! After all this learning, I was able to sew a perfectly fit Vernon shirt (collar, sleeves and all!).
