Great Start

The Wyman, like all Cashmerette Patterns, is a great start. It needs to be refined but that is the nature and the purpose of a sloper.

A Must Have Pattern

Cashmerette's patterns are so well drafted, all the seams line up with each other and the curves are smooth. The Wyman sloper is no different! I made my Wyman sloper to check for any needed alterations to basic patterns. Once I got a good fit, I transferred all the adjustments to the original paper pattern and got them laminated at a print shop. Now, when I buy a new pattern, I overlay my laminated sloper to make sure the new pattern is the right size and shape :) It has saved me so much time in the fitting process!

Great pattern

The sloper worked well for me. I made a few adjustments of shortening my shoulder lenght, shortening the back lenght, making the bicep bigger and moving the darts to the correct spot. Other than that it fit great and Im using it now as my basic block. With that being said I have a pretty standard hourglass shape so It will be interesting to see how it will work when I get around to making a block for my mum as she is 15cm shorter than me and very much an apple shape.
Overall it does take a few toiles to make it perfect as expected but knowing how to fit this can very nicely transfer to knowing how to fit other patterns to your unique body and fitting overall is a very important skill to master.
I have made this dress using the sloper as a base.

The Best Sloper Fit Ever

When I ordered the Wyman Sloper I really didn’t have much hope for a good fit. I than made it up to what I thought was a great fit and found out by the one and only Kenneth D King. I had the pleasure to attend a fit class with him on Saturday. He said I did a very good job and the class agreed. He made three changes that put the fit to 100% perfect fit for me. What a great class it was. He fitted 7 different bodies types and we all left with patterns that fit. I was the only one that used your sloper and the fit is the best fitted sloper I have ever made for myself. Now I have a great fitted base to create anything I want. I’m so very happy. Thank you Jenny and Cashmerette for the win. I forgot to get photos but I asked him to sign my sloper.
