I've made four Vernons now - this is a great well drafted classic shirt pattern which is a fantastic base for hacking into something a little more interesting. The instructions are well written, as always with Cashmerette. I prefer a little more ease over the rear than written, which was easy to add by deepening the back pleat. The lantern sleeves and large collar are very fun, but it also looks great if you make it with no collar leaf, just the stand. If you're looking for a classic shirt pattern to play with you won't be disappointed. Much less intimidating (for me) to fit with just the single dart than the Harrison's double princess seam. I'll be making more of these with short sleeves for summer!
Really happy with this pattern, the first time I’ve made a “wearable muslin” to check the fit, and I’m pleased with it. That’s not always the case the very first time you use a pattern. Classic features (collar stand etc) all went together easily, and a narrow cuff on the version I made which I personally prefer. I made the 20 with FB option.
I agree with the previous review, I shall set to now with some linen from my stash to make more…a really satisfying sew!

Cashmerette's excellent drafting. I prefer a pleated sleeve at the cuff but it was easily accomplished by folding the gathering
ease into two small pleats at the front side of the cuff. I also added width to the cuff as I prefer a two button cuff. I won't hesitate
to cut into my fine linens and Liberty prints for this shirt. I know the results will be fantastic. Thanks Jenny and Team Cashmerette!
I choose the correct size for my bust and the finished shirt was snug across the upper back. Recommend going up a size above the bust, which fit amazingly.

Made this in an embellished sheer chiffon, which was a challenge to sew but because it was such a great well drafted pattern I had the confidence to stick with it and I'm so glad I did! What a beautiful shirt I made that I think will be a timeless piece. I feel that this would be great made from many different fabrics. Collar sits beautifully and the bell sleeves are stunning
