Love these trousers

I admit I wasn’t sure if balloon trousers would be for me but I was so wrong. My quick research on balloon trousers all agreed these would be very flattering for my curvier figure and having made them I totally agree.

These were a lot easier to sew up than I expected and the sew-along was a great help. Just taking it one step at a time is the way to do it. The pockets are great and the detailing made them just feel elevated, highly recommend jumping in and making a pair.

Denim Vinton Pants

I dipped my toe into the barrel leg jeans trend by making denim Vinton Pants. There are a lot of seams and top stitching, but nothing complicated about making them, I appreciate the full bum already done for me. The style is extremely comfy- bus and aeroplane tested.

The Delights are in the Details

Enjoyed making these pants and have purchased fabric for the next pair. This time I will put darts in the back to help with the fit and shorten them a few inches. Other than that they are perfect. Love the deep pockets and jean details. I learned a lot making them. Also, used the video sew along which made it even more enjoyable.

I MADE JEANS!

I’m still new to garment sewing and I’ve avoided any type of pants, until now. I fell in love with the Vinton pants pattern and was inspired to try them. So many pictures of people who made them, along with a free sewing tutorial, but I was still convinced it was going to be a disaster. My muslin wasn’t perfect, but that’s why we do them, right! Haha My final denim pair came out perfect!! There were so many sewing firsts for me!!! I still can’t believe I made them! Thank you Cashmerette!
