I made the version without the ties in the front, so it was pretty quick and easy. My one problem was tracing the pattern of the neckline facing. I got both the back and the front of it wrong, and didn't notice before I cut the fabric (my own fault I didn't check first, but it was very hard to see what lines belonged to what size). Luckily I have more fabric. This is my second Cashmerette pattern, and I love the way the garments look on me--very flattering! It helps to be able to pick out a pattern with a cup size! I'm definitely going to try other Cashmerette patterns.
This top is so simple, but well designed. I usually tend toward more complex patterns but I'm so glad I have this one a try. It's such a great way to use a beautiful fabric and really let it shine. I plan to make many more as this will be a great wardrobe staple for me.
I’m a beginner at sewing clothes. This is the first piece of clothing I’ve sewed that I actually wear. I’ve made it twice so far. I love the neck facing. It adds such a pretty detail and was a great technique for a beginner to finish a neckline.
First ever time using a pattern to make clothing and I was looking for a top that I can use for work, so I picked one that appeared to be easy.... At first I was overwhelmed by how much work it looked like after I printed it, but then I sat down and read through the instructions and put it all together and was surprised at how easy it actually was! I love this top! I made a few slight changes and will make a few more for the next one that I create, but I LOVE THIS PATTERN! So easy for a beginner.
This pattern was fun and easy to sew - I used a fun rayon print which was the perfect combination of flowy drape without sheerness. I am getting lots of compliments on my new top!
My daughter and I have both made multiple garments from this pattern. We both add two inches to length (personal preference) but otherwise, with each of us using the size calculator, we have had amazing results. It is quick to sew, goes together beautifully and very clear instructions. I could not not give enough praise!
