The patterns instructions are easy and straightforward as with all Cashmerett patterns.
This was my first foray into sewing with knits so any mistakes are mine not the patterns. I do recommend you follow the advice and make the pocket lining of a lighter weight fabric, I have these unsightly bulges but it's a learning opportunity.
Making a muslin is imperative especially if you are new to knits, grading between sizes and doing forward shoulder adjustments are more detail oriented with knits.
I will give the pattern a second try, I really want a LBD with pockets!!!

Great top!
This went together very easily, even with adding length in the bodice!

Love it - especially the skirt
I’m not one for the (fit and) flared skirts that are so common on most Cashmerette patterns - they just aren’t flattering on me. So much so that even though I love all my Cashmerette dresses, I always end up editing the skirt to ‘unrecognisable’. However, with the Rivermont I’ve found a perfect TNT pattern that I can make with virtually no adjustments (I always need to lower the bust apex point, but that’s a standard edit for me). I also normally hate pockets as they usually bag/sag and ruin the line of a dress...however in the Rivermont the pockets are a positive and not the usual negative!! The bodice darts, the skirt shape, the skirt darts, the wonderful pockets all make this my almost perfect dress! I say almost because I also find the necklines are too low - other than the Tobin, Cashmerette provide no patterns with a higher neckline which is a bit frustrating. In my second Rivermont I put in a turtleneck...and I NOW have the perfect dress!! Thank you :)

Love the Rivermont!
This pattern is a true winner. As a smaller plus size woman who is often in the top range in indie patterns, sewing this dress and having the muslin fit with no modifications was so wonderful. I love the fit of this dress, and how it hugs my curves in a professional way. Thank you, Jenny! (Measurements: 45, 40, 50 I cut an 18 E/F and graded to a 20 at waist)

From Frocktails to interviews and more oh my..
I love this pattern, easily customisable and oh so comfy. I love the hugging fabric factor and the pencil skirt. I have even hacked this into my most worn skirt ever. This was my first Cashmerette pattern I had ever made. The instructions were easy for a newbie to understand. I now have 3 in my wardrobe plus a few skirt hacks with two more planned for next winter. I have worn this to frocktails and to job interviews. It makes the perfect winter little back dress that is quietly sophisticated. I feel like Sophia Loren!
Thanks Jenny and Team
