I hadn't made clothes for about 40 years but wanted to make some light weight elasticated trousers for a holiday. This was last year. There are numerous courses and teaching videos these days so off I went to find some.
I came across Jenny's book "Ahead of the curve" and the strap line "Learn to fit and sew amazing clothes for your curves" resonated with me because guess what? I have curves!
I bought the Kindle version and found the Cashmerette website.I took a look at the content of the Cashmerette Club and as I am not an experienced sewer I decided the All access would be a great way to learn and become more experienced.
I have downloaded several patterns but decided The Sloper would be the best place to start as it shows one how to get the right fit. I have made the sloper and can now start to adapt other patterns.
However, before I can do that I am taking advantage of the Master Classes and Live Events which are also featured in the All Access Cashmerette Club. There is a wealth of information, tips and tricks and for me it is the best part of the club. Video is the medium I learn best from because one can replay it as often as isnecessary. Whether you are inexperienced or an experienced sewer you will find the All Access excellent value for money and you will learn to love sewing.
