Pattern was the quality I expected, just not the one I was looking for

I ended up making a toile of this before changing my mind, because it was more difficult for me to think about how to adjust it to be the image I had in my mind, then adjusting one closer to a "traditional" button-down with wide cuffs and a column sleeve placket like I was imagining. I may circle back around at some point to make one, still, but the cut is slightly more formal than I was going for.

Easily adaptable

I have a friend who wanted a tailored shirt to fit her large busted figure, but was unable to find one in RTW. I was able to get her a good fit with this pattern, using minimal adjustments. I will say that the cuff circumference was too small for the average wrist, but was easily adjusted. Overall, a great pattern that sewed out true to finished measurments.

Vernon Shirt rocks.

I love this shirt. It’s taken a bit of fiddling to make sure I have it sized right, but I did not have to do an FBA, and I learned how to do a covered button band. Plus the lantern sleeves are magical. I am very pleased.

Fast delivery and great product

This shirt has narrow cuffs and more fullness in the sleeves. Great fit with size D cup on the front of the shirt.

Great for prints!

I made my Vernon from a sheer voile with a lurex thread woven into it. I made a size 18 G cup and only moved the bust apex dart down 1”. What I especially like is there aren’t too many pattern pieces so pattern matching a print is easier than a princess seam shirt. I had to use silk organza for the facings instead of iron on interfacing because of the sheer fabric.
