Great way to cut, never used a PDF pattern. I will from now on! Will definitely be using more of their patterns. My first shirt ever’
I realise the title of this review will be blatantly obvious to many but it was a a teaching moment for me.
I really like this pattern, it came together well and there's some nice detail.
I made the cropped length but added 1.5 inches as I didn't want it too cropped. It is, far shorter than I'm comfortable wearing. Had I got the tape measure out, I would have realised this.
I went by the sizing on Cashmerette sizing page which stated I was a size 12 bust and 10 hips. I made a straight size 12. Unfortunately, it is far too tight and clingy. I then checked the finished garment and it has a fair amount of negative ease.
So all the information is there.
Anyone reading this, don't do what I did, but check finished garment sizing before cutting out (I'm laughing in my head at my rookie error 😉
So, yes, it's a well though out pattern, but it you want how it looks on the model, avoid your size and go by finished garment measurements.
Edit: On reflection I'm going to try this again but do a larger bust size, so E/F instead of C/D. I will also go up one size.
Very pleased with this pattern - the best fitting tee I've made to date (and I've tried a lot).
The only issue I had was with the neckline, it's a little wide and it shows my bra straps.
Everything else is great and I love. So, I have been trying to play around with adjusting this. I almost have it perfected with some modifications.
I bought the Concord T-shirt after reading so many great reviews . It does not disappoint! I cut out straight from the pattern and was so impressed by the fit straight away, no alterations were needed! I have so much trouble fitting my narrow shoulders and full bust - I followed the instructions for sizing and it worked. Thankyou Cashmerette for this versatile pattern - i can see so many variations and it will become my new favourite!
