Love the top

I just love this pattern. I made one top with the ruffle and working on my second one without the ruffle. The pin tucks make it look so elegant.

Beautiful Selwyn Top

Wanted to sew this top as soon as it was released! Love the details like the pin tucks and the ruffles. I used the sizing calculator to figure out my size and it was smooth sailing from there! I'm hoping to make another one soon. Love this pattern!

Love this pattern

I just finished making this top and can't wait to wear it all of the time. I love pintucks but have never made them and I loved the combination of the fit that the princess seams provide and the over style. Other patterns I see with pintucks tens to be very loose, which is fine, but nice to have this version. I added short sleeves (random sleeve ii knew fit me, and I walked the sleeve opening on the Selwyn with my sleeve and then added an inch of width and gathers when attaching. Worked great for me, I love a slightly puffy sleeve cap.

Excited to make more of this top, it's a winner!

Great staple blouse

I already made 2 (used Vernon sleeves for the 2nd one) and love the pattern! Only downside is the length since it is meant to hit quite short on the hip, I had to add a lot of length (I think I did 10cm last time) since I am tall and long torsoed and like my shirts to be long enough to tuck into pants and skirts. Adding at least 5 cm to every top is pretty normal for me so I don’t have an issue with it, that’s why I started sewing in the first place. All in all I am so happy to have this as a staple in my pattern stash and wardrobe.

Love It!

I love this top and have already made 2 of them with plans for a couple more. The first 2 were sleeveless with the ruffle. I plan to make another one with the Vernon sleeves out of a pink window pane silk in my stash and then one in grey cotton for a beyond basic winter basic shirt. Like I said, I love this pattern!

Beautiful pattern, so well done with the pin tucks, perfect for summer as an elegant top or great to hack with a longer length. It almost feels like a steal for the club membership!
