What a great fit!

This pattern fit is AWESOME! Accentuates my wonderful curves without exposing the assets to the world - no button gaping at all. I added an inch to the sleeve for my height (5'9) and I preferred a stretch (like 3% elastane) over non-stretch woven.

Harrison Shirt and dress fulfills my wildest dreams!

I had been looking for a denim dress which suited me without much success. I had the Harrison shirt pattern sitting on my computer and decided to give it a go. First I made a shirt out of some black and white cotton in my stash as a kind of trial run. I cut an 18E/F grading to 20 at the waist and hips. I was honestly astonished - despite having read other reviews - at how well it fit with no gaping at the bust, Even the sleeves were the perfect length. The only adjustment I made was to take in a little on one of the princess seams to suit my bust shape. I was initially worried that the collar stand and collar would sit a bit high on the back neck as I have a short neck but it has turned out just fine. Onwards to the denim dress which has turned out equally well. I had already done all the hard thinking on the shirt! The dress was a bit long for me and I found adjusting the length fiddly because of the shirt-tail shaping. Eventually with the help of a friend I found the right length. I should have used the "lengthen or shorten here" lines on the pattern. I will make this dress again and plan to eliminate the shirt tail hem and make an A-line skirt from the hips down. Also will hack the sleeves to short for a summer dress. I was so happy with both these garments and it has restored my faith in my ability to sew for myself. Thanks Jenny and team.

Best shirt ever

I love this shirt. I always thought dress shirts were not for me (unless I’d be willing to wear something underneath/launch buttons/look like a rugby player). And this just fits so nicely. I also learnt a lot of new techniques by combining this pattern with the online course, which has improved my sewing a lot (I’m a ‘competent beginner’)

Perfect Fit First Time!

I bought the Harrison Shirt because I was intrigued with the double princess seam. I have had issues with gaping at the bust with other button down shirts. I muslined my first version with a print that was remarkably similar to the print version on the pattern envelope. I picked the size according to my measurements and used the full bicep sleeve. It fits perfectly! There will be many more Harrisons in my wardrobe. This was my first Cashmerette pattern, but I definitely will buy more!

Excellent pattern

I am an experienced quilter and have made lots of knit garments. This was the first shirt I attempted in a woven. I purchases the video tutorial and it was a fantastic help. My size 14 -graded -to a- 16 in the hips -D cup shirt fits beautifully and I expect to make many more. Highly recommend this pattern.
