Not only straight forward to make but also fits - hurrah! I even managed to grade between sizes successfully thanks to the cashmerette online guide. I will be making a few more now!
Very well drafted pattern. No gaping, no sliding off boobs throughout the day. I've made 1 one for me and 2 for others so far. Have 1 more for me and another selfless currently on the cutting room table.
I have now made 2 dartmouth tops 3rd and 4th have been cut so also in the making fantastic pattern which is very nice and easy to sew together all signs are adhered to and it fits perfectly
I did sew tricot ribbing to the hem of the blue top so that it stays in place nicely on the hips, also added tricot cuffs
This wonderful top is the best fitting top in my wardrobe. I made already five of them and
received lots of compliments.
I just finished this top-- it is my first Cashmerette pattern; I had intended to start with the basic tank but the lure of making a surplice top that might actually fit got the better of me. I assuaged my conscience with the thought that if it didn't work out, I'd go back and begin slowly and soberly with the tank and work back up to this one. Well, it worked!! It was super easy and fits perfectly on the first try ( yes, I followed all the fitting advice to the letter!). My "toile" is going into my wardrobe. I'd send a photo but my husband refuses to take one, saying he "doesn't want sexy photos of me plastered all over the internet.". Thank you all so much!
