Roseclair Dress is lovely!

I did order the PDF pattern in error as my printer is not good enough to create the pattern. So I ordered the regular one right away. I have so many good things to say about this company. I was making the Roseclair dress for my 17 year old granddaughter. She is lovely, but her body shape does not conform to the average garment nor typical pattern. A further challenge was I live in New Jersey and she lives in Illinois but I took Cashmerette’s advice and made a muslin bodice and sent it out for her to try. It fit fine, so I made the dress. I have been sewing since I was 11, which is 66 years ago. She did request a long sleeve which I was able to do. Everything about this pattern was first class. I did have a couple of questions with respect to size before starting and sent emails to the company. I received a response right away that was very helpful. I hope Cashmerette is able to continue with such superior customer service. Dress is finished, fits beautifully and best of all, she loves it! Thank you!

Five stars minus one star for missing pockets plus one star for the fabulous sleeves!

I made a straight 16D even though I should have graded from a 14D bust to a 18 waist and a 20 hip. I went for view A but made the skirt longer by about 6". It fits like a glove and the seersucker fabric from Merchant & Mills is perfect for this pattern. As usual the instructions (even for Swiss girls) are clear and the dress is quite a quick make.

Roseclair Dress

I made the top version of this pattern in size 20/E cup with no adjustments. I used a viscose fabric that had good drape and found it very comfortable to wear. It was a very easy sew and a very flattering style that hides my belly. I will be sewing more of this pattern as tops.

I had seen several positive reviews and photos of the Roseclair and decided to order. It was so easy to make and fit. I have my second one cut out already!
