My Roseclaire

I love my Roseclair dress. I made it out of a polyester crepe that draped well. I wanted a shorter dress with tiers so I hacked it to make 2 tiers. It’s super comfortable for a dressy dress. The fit was great and flattering. I highly recommend it!

New favourite dress pattern!

I made View A of this pattern in a lovely cotton gingham seersucker. The instructions were very clear and I easily made it over a weekend. The sizing was spot on and the fit was perfect, without any adjustments required. It was so lovely to make something to fit my large bust without having to redraft the bodice. I received numerous compliments when I wore it for the first time, including being stopped in the street by a stranger, who told me "what a beautiful dress!" I need more Roseclairs in my wardrobe; 100% recommend.

The holy grail of wrap dress patterns!

So I have been searching for a wrap dress pattern forever however they have never fit me well either the shoulders were too big, chest too tight ugh.. so I decided to try this. After printing up a size 10 G/H bodice and grading the hips to a size 14 (easiest fit adjustment ever!) It fit perfectly. I have never just printed something out like that and it fit straight away, I almost cried! Now realise why I have such a hard time finding clothes that fit properly.
Thank you Jenny for making sewing patterns to accommodate larger busts!
My only request now that I have discovered your patterns is can you come up with like a casual Denim Jacket or a biker jacket sewing pattern for the larger bust sizes? But also include women with narrow shoulders (sizes 0 - 16)?
I'm already buying more of your patterns.
Also too I've tried a lot of online sewing patterns and yours are up there with the best in terms of how clear the directions are and they actually fit together I'm very impressed.
Highly recommend!!!

Brilliant Pattern!

I’m so pleased that I bought this pattern! I’ve made three summer Roseclairs in View B so far, and I’m planning a couple more for the upcoming winter (might even try and draft a long sleeve). Easy, straightforward, and fits beautifully, I always feel good wearing a Roseclair!

Well drafted, great fit

This is a brilliant pattern, especially if you have a full bust. The sites size finder is really helpful. I plugged in my measurements and it told me to make a size 10e/f. I would have picked a 12d/dd. But I did as instructed and it's a perfect fit, without any of my usual fit issues (dba, narrow, forward shoulders, swayback, high waisted). I will be making this pattern again 😄
