I love these patterns. They are made for women with curves. I happen to have a large cup size but have a smaller frame. I can easily adjust these patterns. Thank you!!!

Adding on to the review done on November 2022. This is my hands down favorite pattern.
I made three dresses, and another person made the fourth. The dress is beautiful, and I made an organza overlay, which was encased in a waistband that was clasped at the back, which is hidden by the bow.
All of them came out wonderfully, and they looked so pretty! The sleeves were the same organza as the overlay, and I did end up raising the neckline about an inch. I just wanted to share!
I love that it can fit anyone! From the littlest of the young ladies, to our adults.
Really easy to put together!
The skirt though was not done by the pattern. I cut 3 lengths of fabric, 58" wide, so the selvage edges are top to bottom. Cut edge on top was serged to allow for gathering.
the back side, I serged each edge, and sewed up the back till I got to the zipper line. Then, I folded it into half and half again, marked the halves and pinned the front and sides, and then divided each section, then sewed it to the bodice. It makes for a very full waist, and a very full skirt, which can fit over a hoop. The other one, (the one I did not make) was for a smaller person, so they graded the sides a bit, to ease the gathers so it was easier to sew. All four looked wonderful for the reception.

It's exactly what I needed!
I was searching for a dress for a formal event and I couldn't find anything that I just loved. I had an idea in my head and so I started googling around for Independent patterns. I came up on this one and saw that it had the ball skirt separately! I'm just delving back into sewing after a few years off and thought this would be the perfect project to make! I ended up modifying the dress into just the top and did the ball skirt separately. But this pattern made it so easy to modify into the exact vision I had!

Wonderful Pattern!
I am an adult advisor for a Masonic youth group, and we have a reception coming up.
I purchased this pattern again (I own this pattern in the larger sizes), but I needed to make dresses for several girls, so I purchased both the size ranges as the girls are different sizes
This is hands down my favorite pattern, and it goes together so easily. I alter the skirt so it's basically three panels of 58" wide fabric, so it will fit a hoop under
It looks gorgeous, and really elegant!
I am making a tulle overskirt with a bow in the back.
I have used this pattern over and over, as I just love it!

Disappointed
I was disappointed with this pattern, it was my first cashmerette and I picked it based on its curvy friendly appeal and the idea of not having to do a bust adjustment. I made a mock up and found it was taking so many alterations to make it fit that I discarded it and drafted a pattern from scratch instead. I wouldn’t have left a review because I know so many people like these patterns but they kept emailing me to leave one so here we are. Since I live in Canada it was a very expensive disappointment.
Hi Jennifer! I'm sorry to hear you didn't get a great fit straight out of the packet - we'd be happy to help you pick the right size and figure out any alterations - just email us at hello@cashmerette.com
