Wonderful dress

Not sure why it’s taken me so long to make this dress, it was a joy to see from start to finish, (even using a linen/cotton blend that likes to fray once cut) to overcome the fraying issue I overlocked all edges making sure not to trim the pieces and that all notches were marked. Very comfortable to wear and receives lots of compliments when wearing. Love the sleeves, they’re perhaps my best yet. I’ve never really been a dress person as rtw doesn’t fit right, Cashmerette is slowly but surely changing that for which I am extremely grateful. Next up is my first Upton.

Great Pattern But Not a Great Fit For Me

I'm a cashmerette size 20- 22 but I'm a true pear shape with a small bust, and high waist.
Overall this is a good pattern;the instructions are clear and the method of construction is great. The bias neck finishing into the ties is such a time saver and gives a neat finish. However I find it much easier to fit commercial patterns from the Big 4 than Cashmerette patterns on my body.
I also didn't like the closures on this dress; I lengthened the outside tie so it would wrap all the way around and cinch in my waist. With the original ties it just looked very frumpy around my waist.

Lovely dress

I made a few tweaks to this pattern but overall I love it. The sewalong on the website really helped, the instructions are easy to follow and the dress construction is uncomplicated. I will keep buying patterns from Cashmerette and I am considering joining “the club”!

Hi,
It's been my first Cashmerette pattern (and my first sewing pattern in english). I sewn this dress for my girl who was attending a wedding. She's a F cup and the Roseclair is her best fitting dress ever. Highly recommend. I will sew her another one for the winter.

Cute summer dress

Pattern instructions were clear and easy to follow. With only 7 pattern pieces it was a quick sew. I made a straight size 24 with a C/D cup but that turned out to be too big for me, so alterations were needed to get the fit right. I will make it again but will choose size 22 for the bodice then grade out to 24 for my hips.

Perfect fit but side closure issues

Hi! I absolutely love this dress. It is the first dress I make that fits my shoulders and bust without any adjustments. The only issue I have with it is the inner side tie closure. It bulges and spoils the look. Next time I make it I will need to find a solution, a snap perhaps…
