Great resources and instructions, wish I had more on grading between sizes and how that impacts facings. Neckline is low for my frame (maybe because I’m petite).
Hi Carolina, If you'd like grading help in the future, check out cashmerette.com/grading where we have tons of grading advice for all our patterns!
I got the Appleton dress as part of a Guthrie & Ghani kit. The dress was easy to make and the instructions very clear, it fits well even though I am not that curvy. The only issue I have is the ties tangling up with everything in the wash - need to knot first!
I normally sew dresses with a fuller shape through the hips, but my teacher daughter needed professional dresses and I let her pick the pattern. Disclosure - I hadn't sewn a knit garment in decades. This went together super easy. I measured carefully and didn't make a toile because we were short on time. It came out beautifully. She loves it and I will be making a couple for myself and my other daughter.
I’ve tried other wrap dresses but this dress is it! It fits like a glove as if it was actually fit to my body which I can barely do as a beginner sewist. It felt like the fit pattern was designed for my plus size body which is very difficult. I can’t wait to make more Appleton dresses and I’m excited to use my other cashmerette patterns.
